Dress code

Wear what you are comfortable in, but remember it's a farm (the ground is bumpy, can be soft, and mostly on a hill so heels, for example, aren't too practical!)

Food and drink

We will be having an epic South African Braai. There will be an amazing selection of delicious meats and fish, plus lots of salads.

There will also be food later for those joining us after dinner

Enjoy drinks from the bar, it's our round!

Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements, we will do our best to help.

Accommodation

There is plenty of space for campervans, caravans and tents on the farm. Loos will be available and the day after there will be a casual breakfast and you are welcome to stay all day.

Locally there are plenty of B&B options, please click the link below where we have some suggestions

Transportation

There is plenty of parking at the farm. Taxis, if required, will be best booked in advance.

Parking will be in a field off the driveway. Large vehicles (ie horse lorries) will need to use an alternative entrance.

Wedding Photos

The vicar requests we don't take photos inside the chapel, but outside the chapel and at the reception please take as many photos as you like, we would love to see them too.

There will be a photographer doing all the important ones as well!

Gifts

We would simply enjoy your company at our wedding, but if you would like to give a gift we would welcome surprises, though we also have a couple of lists below with a few ideas!

This list isn’t comprehensive, and we don’t know them all personally. Some have good views, good food, and are characterful - all are fairly convenient for driving here.

There are smart/expensive hotels in the area, such as Gidleigh Park (27 minutes, 13.4 miles), Bovey Castle (30 minutes, 16.2 miles), Lympstone Manor (32minutes, 22.6 miles) and Endsleigh Hotel (45 minutes, 36.5 miles). All of these offer fine dining sit in lovely grounds or estates. There are further options in neighbouring villages and towns, Chagford (c. 25 minutes away) a charming Dartmoor town, and Moretonhampstead, (c.25 minutes) also on Dartmoor. Many options in Exeter (c. 25 minutes), including a Premier Inn opposite the station, Exeter St Davids. The Devon County Show takes place in Exeter on the same weekend, so expect busier roads at certain time.

If we can help in any way, or with advice please let us know. Contact Diana 07734 902515, or Jeremy 07768 688189.
